I am the second owner. I joined the #1 duo in the world in 1959 the Everely Brothers. I toured the world with the brothers them head lining with some of the greatest acts at that time and there still going strong today. Acts like Little Richard, The Rolling Stones, The late Bo Diddly,Jerry Lee. I became friends with the Stones and had a great relation ship with Brian Jones and Bill Wyman. Bill would often ask me if he could play my bass. He had one that he made by hand and it was very hard for me to play.It had a thick neck. My bass has been certified by a dealer as being made in 1958. Serial # 023773. The body has been refinished.( blond in color.) It shows wear on the back from my belt buckles and has a cigarette burn at the lower part of the peg head. A few screws missing that hold the metal plates in place. Have replacements. Every thing is original from the electronics, hard ware, split pick ups, anodized aluminum pick guard. The maple neck with black dotted finger board position markers is as straight as an arrow and has always stayed in perfect tune. The frets show no ware. I have a set of Everly custom .045 stainless steel strings to replace the old strings for the new buyer.This bass is over 50 years old. !!Truly a collectors idem.!! I still have the original gig bag that shows some wear but still zippers up and is useable.  All shipping and insurance to be paid by buyer.  The total cost for shipping and insurance is $160.00. I really don't want to ship the instrument  and hoping some other arrangements can be made.
