1998 Jose Ramirez 2CWE Classic-Electric Guitar Up for auction is a 1998 Jose Ramirez 2CWE Classical-Electric Guitar in excellent condition. No nicks no dings, it rates 9.5 out of 10 scale. The sound is definitely a 10. I hand carried the guitar from America and paid the stamp duty at customs. Retail price in Australia is over $5000. I am selling this collector item to make way for a Gibson L5. This is definitely the ultimate crossover instrument or solo gigging guitar played by the famous Marcel Dadi. It will be shipped to you in a lightweight hard case. Actually if one can do a simple math, he would understand why this guitar is sold in Australia for over AU$5000. To bring in or import this type of guitar from USA directly, you will not use a regular US Post to handle an expensive and fragile item like this. The cheapest courier service (DHL or Fedex) is US$500. Say the guitar is US$2600, total with freight would be US$3100. When it arrives in Australia, the customs will convert the value into equivalent AUD. When I hand-carried this guitar from USA in 2001, the exchange rate was AUD1=USD0.60. Then a 5% stamp duty was imposed to the guitar, next 10% GST was also added to the total amount. In 2001 I ended up paying close to AU$5000 for this Ramirez, that's excluding any shipping and handling cost.
