Description
Edwards Crafted in Japan  relic guitar   This is one of Edwards Relic LP custom style guitars. The body is Mahogany with a Maple cap. It has a Quilted Maple top. The colour is called Lemon Drop. Neck is Mahogany capped with vintage Rosewood and is set with a long tenon joint for maximum sustain and resonance. The finish on this guitar is thin lacquer or Nitro as keeping with tradition. This makes the finish a bit of a matt sheen and coupled with the yellowed binding gives it an overall vintage look. This guitar has been aged by the Japanese Luthiers to look like the real thing Pickups are Seymour Duncan's 'Antiquity' Their top of the line LP pups. This guitar is a special order. It has the super circuit pots and wiring. This is similar to the page model which had one push/pull for coil tapping or reverse phasing. This has 4 !!! All pots are push/pull. ( see the S/Duncan diagram below ) The J.Page model has a great variety of sounds, but nothing like this one. I have had this on order from the factory for some time now. I also have a Tobacco burst one on order as well. I didn't order more than 2 as the price is just too much for these special orders.      Check out some reviews.try:  http://search.harmony-central.com   Also see seymour Duncan's site : http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/humbucker/ Have a look at ESP's web site: http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/index.html   The specs on this guitar outstrip a lot of original guitars for which you will pay mega bucks for. These are made for by ESP for local market only in Japan. Outside of Japan you would buy an ESP guitar. To obtain one you have to pay your money in advance and wait for anything up to 4 months, or....buy one off me ! I've already done the waiting. Any guitar that is successful in Japan is worth having as the Japanese will only buy quality. It is said that the major USA guitar manufacturers only send their best stock to Japan    We have all heard how Japan is building some of the best Fenders in the world today, well the Edwards guitar company is doing the same. Neck is a cross between 1950 and 1960's style profile. Edwards did a lot of talking to guitarists and this is the profile they came up with. Nitrocellulose finish tulip style tuners     Just about everything you would want in one of these guitars.        Used with permission from Seymour Duncan       Look, I know it's hard, buying a guitar off Ebay that you haven't played or even seen in the flesh, so...you'll just have to trust me that this guitar is everything I've said it is. Many buyers before you have, and not one of them has ever had a bad word about their new axe or me. Quite the opposite in fact. Feel free to peruse through my feedback comments and even contact a few on the buyers if you like. I'm sure they won't mind. Clint.   _____________ Dear selfselfself,Just a note to anyone thinking of buying this guitar: Definantly do it!!! These guitars are finished better than the "G" brand and sound just as good as well. I have bought one myself and have been giging with it since and getting a lot of remarks about this guitar, they are outstanding!! I'm a pro muso and I can tell you I would not use rubbish on stage. I took it to a music shop in Newcastle to fit it to a nice hard case and the guys in the shop couldnt believe it and I must say they have never even seen one before, but they fell in love with it. We compared it to a $7,000.00 balck beauty "G" brand les paul on the same amp with the same settings and guess what? excactly the same sound with better sustain. I'm playing the Tamworth Music Festival this comming friday and I'll be playing mine in front of a very critical crowd with lots of pro musos hanging around, I'm that confindent of this guitar! Please feel free to use this comment as you wish. Cheers cookinwithal-a very happy buyer - cookinwithal   Item and user details   Item Title: EDWARDS LP CUSTOM Burl Maple top. I've hardly stopped playing it since!  It sustains forever and is noticeably lighter than my other lp (my back says thank you). A friend of mine paid $12,000 for a historic '59 reissue and he's kicking himself for not buying 10 of these instead, or at least paying a tenth of the price. Anyway, thanks for a smooth transaction, your prompt replies to any questions I had and a great guitar. I'll be recommending you to anyone who is after one of these guitars. cheers, John. - guitardingo   Item and user details Item Title: EDWARDS LP Standard Guitar Tobacco burst Item Number: 300185407689 Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300185407689 End Date: 06-Jan-08 15:56:34 AEDST From User: guitardingo (3)   Please note I am not a music  shop, Nor a registered dealer of any kind.
