She's a 1973 - Made in USA Fender Telecaster Custom Deluxe.   This guitar is a "Vintage Classic" and is now regarded as a very valuable investment by Collectors & Players alike.   This guitar {like it's owner} has been around, and had more than it's fair share of Hard Knocks!!! As fate would have it, she's survived again & again to play yet another Gig or Recording session. If only this guitar could talk.... You could write a book about the places she's been & the people we've met on our journey. She's paraded onstage at Stadiums in front of 60,000 people, Sung to intimate crowds in smokey little clubs throughout  Europe,Australia & N.Z.. Hung around backstage with the likes of "Prince"... "INXS"..."Tears for Fears"....Travelled to exotic places far & wide .. She's been used in Many Studios worldwide & used on albums and CD's for her distinctive tone and Never Once let me down...!!!   Enough of the sentimental stuff...Here's the Facts...*Serial number: 396247  http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1973 - 1974 *The guitar is very playable and has a Nice worn in maple neck *The action is Med/Low with good intonation and fretwear is reasonable-good *Electronics & Wiring are original and sound great {[No Hum or scratchy pots] *The finish on the guitar is Poor & Worn [ see pics] * The machine heads & bridge saddles are non original [ to my knowledge these are the only alterations that have been made]   I can provide photos of the Electronics [pots etc] and the neck [unscrewed] if required but would prefer to keep the neck bolted on as it is seated nicely and the guitar is playing very well.   The guitar comes with the original Fender case which is in pretty good condition.
